“The Tetons - Snake River” By Ansel Adams, Wyoming, 1942Photography is something that has become engrain into modern day social conciseness. The average person walks around with a camera embedded into their mobile phone capable of capturing a high quality image and then in turn can send the photo half way across the world in a matter of seconds. If you really stop and think about the implications of this, we truly have come such a long way from days of an Ansel Adams.
And yet even with the 100+ billion photos uploaded to Facebook, the images of Ansel have live on as iconic master pieces. Great photography is more than just about pressing the shutter. One look of your Facebook page will tell you as much. Great photography doesn't ask but demands an emotional response from it's viewer. Adams had it right when he said:
A true photograph need not be explained, nor can it be contained in words.
With photography, we are able to capture a moment of light and time that never will be repeated. A true photo captures the essence of that moment in time. We are Capre Lucem Photography. Carpe lucem means seize the light in Latin. That's what the goal of this company and this blog is: to seize the precious moments of life to be cherished before they pass by. So join us and continue to check back with this blog as we begin our exciting journey of capturing light.
